SFmunicipal

SFmunicipal is a face I made with FontStruct, Fontshop's free font-building tool. All online and free for download!

The letterforms are based on the flip-disc displays used by some of the older MUNI trains in San Francisco, which follow this simple, asymmetrical grid.

For now, there are two versions, SFmunicipal N and SFmunicipal M. The only difference is that N is gridded while M is filled. I hope to make more versions eventually, but the lowercase and full slate of symbols can be a real headache with my self imposed restrictions.
